Broom Finish Options
A broom finish is the classic standard for concrete installations. It looks sharp, adds traction, is cost effective and helps mitigate water flow. Choose broom finished concrete for walkways, driveways, patios, porches, steps and just about anywhere with heavy foot traffic. Colored concrete options can be incorporated with a broom finish but stamps cannot be added. One trick is to use a broom finish on pathways while incorporating decorative stamps on the perimeter and less walked upon areas. Sand Wash Technique
Sand Washed Concrete is a technique to give an exposed sand look and feel to your concrete project. Similar to exposed aggregate, sand wash finish is created by spraying a retarder on after trowelling the concrete. Later we wash it off taking some of the cream with it, leaving the sand wash finish. It works great for turning a stained concrete path into a walk-able area and helps the water features and other sealed stained concrete areas pop out.

The Exposed Aggregate Finish
Exposed aggregate is a type of finish that involves removing the top layer of concrete after being laid, using a retardant and later washing it off. This creates an inviting look to the surface which is often used for decorative areas. Common places for exposed aggregate concrete are on walkways, patios, pool decks, driveways and porches. The customer can choose between types of aggregate, river rock being a fairly common and cost effective rock choice. This finish can also be used to add character to retaining walls or other vertical landscaping features.
